Walk Report
11 walkers took part in a very pleasant walk around Hope which had been incorrectly advertised -it should have said Summer Stroll not Winter Wander!
We began the walk from the Adventure Cafe in Hope and followed the path by the river towards Castleton. After stopping briefly to take a close up photo of the Cement Works we then made our way up to Castelton and then onwards to Cave Dale.  We stopped near the top to enjoy both the wonderful views and John’s spectacular “Rocky Road.”  From there we made our way towards Mam Tor and after a brief descent had our lunch whilst  watching  the many paragliders flying around the Great Ridge.
After lunch we made our way along to Hollins Cross, Back Tor and then the final ascent up Lose Hill.  After another photo of the Cement Works we began the descent into Hope.  We kept up a good pace finishing the walk at 15.15.
Perfect walking weather, great company and some lovely views of the stunning scenery in both the Hope and Edale Valleys.
Mileage     9.6 m
