Walk Report
18 walkers set off from Clowne for this leisurely circular route. We joined the Clowne Greenway route near the old station and headed out to Creswell. An easy walk along a well made trail into Creswell for our morning break on benches on the delightful Creswell Model Village Green. It was then along tracks and field paths to Elmton for our lunch in the grounds of St Peter’s Church. The final third of the walk involved small ascent to Oxcroft and return to Clowne along an escarpment with expansive views towards Chesterfield and The Peak District. We completed a total of 7.8 miles in bright, breezy and dry conditions in good time, thanks to the easy terrain and complete lack of any Stiles on this route
