Walk Report

15 walkers completed a wonderful 11 mile walk from Eyam dodging the forecasted rain showers and enjoying the sunshine.   The route from Eyam ascended to Sir William Hill ,via the Jumber Brook and Bole Hill, where the group photo was taken.  A dry stone wall was being repaired on the way to Stoke Ford followed by Abney Clough and Abney Moor and the descent to Great Hucklow.  The gliders had stopped flying as we passed the airfield and we can only assume it was the threat of thunderstorms that kept them on the ground.   From Great Hucklow it was a pleasant walk across the fields to Foolow and the end back in Eyam
