Walk Report
19 walkers, which included 3 visitors, set off from Limb Lane car park into Ecclesall Woods following Limb Brook towards Abbeydale Road South. This part of the walk also included a visit to Abbeydale Miniature Railway.
A brief stretch along the footpath and then back into the woods heading for Ecclesall Woods Visitor Centre for our morning break. We then headed up through the woods to Whirlow, walking past Whirlow Brook Hall. It was then a steady ascent up the Limb Brook Valley before turning to make our return descent.
We had our lunch at the top of the route and then headed off through woodland and down to cross the Hathersage Road, leaving a short stretch of road walking back to the car park.
