About our walks

Join us for walks through the stunning landscapes of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. From gentle riverside strolls to challenging moorland hikes, our walks take you through some of the most beautiful areas of the Peak District and beyond – including Chatsworth, Hope Valley, Edale, Ladybower, and Kinder Scout.

Friendly, welcoming, and led by local volunteer walk leaders, Chesterfield Ramblers group is open to all ages and abilities.

Walk Grades​​

We offer a range of walks from leisurely strolls to strenuous hikes. Each walk listing shows the distance, terrain, and difficulty to help you choose the right one.

New members typically start with a leisurely or moderate walk. Not sure which walk is right for you? Contact the walk leader or email us with your experience and fitness level.

  • We offer walks accessible by car and on a Wednesday by public transport
  • Please check whether a walk is circular or linear before you travel.
